I don't see anything wrong with what he's said, it's pretty obvious to anyone that was at Ealing last season that there were a few bad eggs in the squad that couldn't care less. Maggs himself admitted as much.
I think it unedifying players bad mouthing former team mates especially when argument could be made that our biggest problem last season was our inability to hit our lineout jumpers.

Our lineout has not been great for some time but after seeing some of our players reaction after the away game at Ealing last season it was not just the lineout that was a problem.

Agree the lineout wasn't the only issue, the set piece was diabolical all season and didn't improve. My point is that by attempting to blame everything on the handful of players who have since departed is absolving yourself of any accountability for what happened last season, and if you are going to throw mud you need to be whiter than white yourself.

When they came off the pitch on Saturday you could see the defeat hurt on their faces. One player apologised . I think we will see a performance this week.
Personally I find it refreshing that someone from the squad has publicly responded in such a way as to confirm concerns that the majority of supporters felt last season. There are no specific names referred to, just that a lack of cohesion within the team was to blame for our poor season.
What I don't like/want to see on this forum is any blame proportioned to any individual or their performances during a campaign. Fortunately this very rarely happens! Rugby, of all games, is truly a team effort and yes there will be times when set pieces don't function as planned, or we miss a few tackles but we win as a team and lose as a team.

I think anyone who has turned out over 300 occasions to represent our club is entitled to say pretty much what they like about the playing side of things.
I didn't find anything wrong at all with Adam Caves interview and I can't work out what Richie B was grumbling about. Adam didn't bad mouth any specific former player he just gave his honest opinion about the season in general. Nothing new there because lots of us supporters saw most the games last season, knew exactly what Adam was on about and voiced our opinions often.

Still feel that it was a bit of an easy out to blame it all on last seasons leavers. We were better individually than the sum of our collective last season and therefore it was a collective failure and should have been acknowledged as such. Moving on now promise!
Lets just say Maggsy referred to the issues in public at the AGM so it was not a new revelation from Cavesy. I was upset that, as KM said, those players were so unsettling for the team.
