The June Draw of the 300 Club has been held and the results are as follows:
£150 - Ray Brown, £75 - Tony Newby, £50 - Carl Drinkwater, £25 - Michael Browne, Dr John Ashton, James Jowett & Charles Smith.
As always, congratulations and commiserations as appropriate!
This is not the mystery! In August, we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the 300 Club, set up by former Club Captain Derek Nutt during his Presidency. Perhaps we will do something special to mark the occasion, so look out for further announcements!
Now for the mystery! A standing order payment of £5.00 has just been paid into the 300 Club account, but without any details of the new member (we assume) reaching the Treasurer, George Walters! That means that George cannot allocate a membership number and the person concerned has no chance of winning!
All George knows is that it came from an account at the Sutton Coldfield branch of Nat West Bank. We hope that the payer will "own up" to his or her generosity and support by contacting George, whose contact details will be found in the MPA section of this website.
Apologies for not replying before, KHL. In fact, Treasurer George, himself a retired Bank Manager, discussed this at some length with our bank, but it was unable (or unwilling) to provide any further information or take any action itself.
As yet, nobody has come forward and I am repeating the message in this week's Moseley Matters.
