INFORMATION FOR ENGLISH SUPPORTERS
Marcoussis, March 1st, 2016
Due to the current level of the terrorist threat and the current preventive measures of
security, strict security checks of the spectators going to the Stade de France will be done
during the 6 Nations matches.
Under the responsibility of both the Public Authorities and the FFR, all involved services have
taken the relevant actions to ensure that this event takes place in the usual festive
atmosphere, while ensuring maximum safety to all attendees.
The National Police and the Security Managers have planned several checkpoints near the
stadium in order to avoid the queues at the stadium’s gates where reinforced controls will
be carried out (tickets, bags control…)
Spectators are invited to arrive at the stadium earlier than usual so that these operations
take place in the best conditions of efficiency and speed. For information, the gates will open
two hours before kick-off.
The slightest relaxation of checks may give an opportunity to a potential author of
wrongdoing, no allowance will be given to latecomers: They will also systematically duly
controlled.
Increased vigilance shall be exercised with respect to items prohibited in stadiums (alcohol,
sharp or blunt objects, rigid flagpoles, smoke bombs, firecrackers, pyrotechnics...); they will
be confiscated. It is strongly advised to come without backpack, sports bag or other bulky
items that will be placed in cloakrooms.
Safety concerns everyone, so the FFR thanks the public for its cooperation.
