The majority of top Rugby Sevens nations in the world took part at Glasgow 2014 (except Fiji). With Rugby Sevens set to make its Olympic Games debut in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, so the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games will be very important test bed for the future.
A total of 45 games was contested across two days of fierce competition at Ibrox Stadium, as 16 teams strived in front of packed audiences for that single Gold.
Result:
Gold: South Africa
Silver: New Zealand
Bronze: Australia
