“MOSELEY’S MAGGS SIGNS SEVEN – RFU CHAMPIONSHIP SQUAD COMPLETE”
Moseley Rugby Club kicks off the RFU Championship season with a home game against Cornish Pirates this Saturday in Birmingham. (Sat 3rd September, kick off 3.00pm at Billesley Common).
Head Coach and former Irish 70 cap international centre Kevin Maggs, has confirmed an additional seven signings to bring the squad total to 34
The seven additional players have all featured in an intensive pre-season programme including fixtures against Welsh Premiership sides Aberavon and Bedwas.
One of the most promising signings is scrum half Ryan Glynn on dual registration with Northampton Saints who covers for Moseley’s Ryan de la Harpe currently on World Cup duty with Namibia.
Just 20, Ryan captained Northampton Saints to the final of the 2010 J.P. Morgan Asset Management Premiership Rugby Sevens Series beating Gloucester, Bath and Exeter in the process.
He joined Northampton two years ago from Sale having played for England Under-16 and Under-18 sides and featuring regularly for Sale's second team, the Jets.
The Sedburgh School pupil originally played his rugby for Ormskirk before being snapped up by Sale Sharks’ academy on a scholarship. He made his debut for Saints in early 2011 and featured in two 1st XV fixtures last season.

Super September – 4 home matches!
Moseley now embark on ‘Super September’ with a mouth watering FOUR home games before the month is out.
First up is Cornish Pirates in the season opener on Saturday 3rd September closely followed by the Birmingham club’s nearest neighbour (Nottingham – Saturday 10th) before the lone away fixture at Doncaster on 17th.
The following weekend Moseley are back at Billesley to host Esher on Saturday 24th after a mid week British & Irish Cup clash against Plymouth Albion on Wednesday 21st (7.30pm).
All Saturday matches kick off at 3pm.
As part of ‘super September’ the club have a bargain special offer for hospitality boxes – buy the three league fixtures (at a reduced rate!) and get the B&I Cup game free!!
